Purpose and Values

What we do and how we do it.

Statement of Purpose

Home From Home Support provides progressive and holistic care to adults with learning disabilities, psychological needs, mental health needs, and some behaviours that may be considered challenging. Our approach is person-centred and therapeutic, with support delivered by an appropriately trained staff team to promote independence, life skills, and individual wellbeing.

Support is carefully planned around each individual through tailored care packages that reflect personal needs, strengths, and aspirations. Where appropriate, one-to-one support is provided to help individuals develop daily living skills and practical life skills that support greater independence.

The promotion of choice, independence, and empowerment is central to all support planning. Individuals are supported to build confidence, self-esteem, dignity, and self-worth, while developing practical skills and emotional coping mechanisms that allow them to make informed choices and take greater control of their lives.

We actively encourage and support People We Support to access their local communities, promoting meaningful involvement and helping individuals become active and integrated members of their community, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Values

We align our core values with our C.A.R.E.S. model, ensuring they are reflected in our daily practice, decision-making and the support we provide.

These values shape our culture, our practice and the quality of support we provide every day.
